DESIGN ALTERATIONS

BRIDGE

The bridge is pushed back slightly to allow it to go through the existing opening. This preserves the identity and structural elements of the original building.

A beam is added to the existing structure to hold up the proposed bridge and its weight.

STAIRS

1ST FLOOR

As the bridge is pushed back slightly, the stairs were forced to be repositioned to allow a clear path for the bridge to pass through without further obstructions.

FACADE

The gaps between each panel are consistent in width and size.

The inconsistency lies in the sizes of the panels to create a forest-like atmosphere with trees of varying widths and sizes.

The panels on the top floors are floor to ceiling height, whereas the ones on the ground floor are of varying heights. The panels are continuous from top floor all the way to the ground floor.
